HISTORY

The club was established as Hotpoint FC in 1975. In the 1996–97 season, the team relocated to Llanfairfechan's Recreation Ground due to the limitations of their previous venue at Victoria Drive, prompting a name change to Llanfairfechan Athletic. In 1998, the club returned to Llandudno Junction, settling at The Flyover, which was formerly the home of Crosville. For the 1999–2000 season, the team adopted the name Llandudno Junction FC. Over the years, the club has participated in various leagues, primarily within the Welsh Alliance League.

GROUND

Since its establishment in 1998, the club has taken great pride in calling The Flyover its home. Our modest venue offers covered seating and standing areas. While we may provide only basic facilities, the significance of our ground extends far beyond its physical attributes. It serves as a vital cornerstone of the community, acting as the lively heart for local football supporters who come together to share their deep passion for the beautiful game.

PERFORMANCE

The club has a long history of competing at regional level, often experiencing periods of considerable success within local leagues. In the 2008–09 season, the club achieved a significant milestone by winning the Barrit Cup. Part of this squad was future Wolves striker Jake Cassidy. In more recent years, the club has faced several challenges with inconsistent performances and infrastructure improvements. Despite these obstacles, the club remains staple of grassroots football in the local community, continuing to foster a love for the sport among its supporters.

CHALLENGES

Similar to many smaller clubs across Wales, our club encounters several challenges, especially regarding our resources, facilities, and the capacity to stay competitive in a league largely dominated by larger teams in the Welsh Premier League. Nevertheless, we take great pride in being Llandudno Junction FC, and we are wholeheartedly dedicated to facing these challenges head-on and overcoming them with unwavering determination and resilience.
